Mark Cotham

Mark is the Product Development Specialist at Seidlitz Education, where he oversees the design and editing of books in both English and Spanish. He manages the production schedule for each title and contributes edits throughout the development process. Mark brings a depth of linguistic knowledge to his role, supporting Seidlitz’s mission to provide high-quality resources for educators of multilingual learners.

Mark holds a BA in both English and Spanish, as well as an MA in Foreign Language Education. He is fluent in English and Spanish and has familiarity with several language systems. His academic background and experience as a language-focused educator strengthen his editorial contributions and ensure a high standard of accuracy and clarity in Seidlitz publications.

With over a decade of experience in the classroom—primarily as a Spanish teacher—Mark is passionate about helping teachers build connections with multilingual learners. He aims to support core content teachers and world language educators alike in creating inclusive, globally connected classrooms.

Mark lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Morgan, and their dog, Romeo. He enjoys tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons, exploring Austin’s vibrant musical and cultural scene, and learning new languages—he’s currently studying Mandarin.
