Ongoing Professional Development

Campus/District Consultation
A Seidlitz Education consultant collaborates with campus and district leadership to assess needs and tailor follow-up plans that align with existing goals and initiatives. These consultations typically occur in full-day increments but can be adjusted to half-day sessions as needed.

Peer-to-Peer Observations
A small group of teachers observes a colleague’s class, collects data based on a predetermined goal, and engages in a structured debrief led by a Seidlitz Education consultant. To encourage open dialogue, administrators typically do not participate in these discussions.

Mini-Trainings During Planning Periods
A Seidlitz Education consultant provides short, customized training sessions during teachers’ planning periods to strengthen instructional strategies and implementation.

One-on-One Classroom Modeling
A Seidlitz Education consultant demonstrates a strategy in the classroom, allowing the teacher to observe or co-teach. Pre- and post-observation conferences provide opportunities for reflection and refinement.

Fishbowl-Style Modeling
A Seidlitz Education consultant models a strategy while teachers observe, ensuring they gain insight into effective implementation. Pre-conference discussions establish objectives, while post-observation conferences allow for deeper analysis of the approach. To maintain classroom flow, observer groups are kept small.

Strategy Practice (“At Bats”)
A Seidlitz Education consultant facilitates strategy practice during planning periods, offering coaching and modeling to refine instructional techniques.

Guided Planning Sessions
A Seidlitz Education consultant collaborates with teachers, coaches, and curriculum writers to integrate strategies into existing or upcoming lesson plans.
