
John Seidlitz
Founder
John Seidlitz is the author of 7 Steps to a Language-Rich, Interactive Classroom. In 2005, John founded Seidlitz Education, where he leads a team of educators and authors whose mission is Developing Language in Every Classroom.
John taught social studies and ESL in Floresville, Texas, where he served as a secondary ESL program coordinator. He also held the position of education specialist at ESC Region 20 in San Antonio, Texas.
He is the co-author of numerous publications including ELs in Texas: What School Leaders Need to Know, and is also a contributing author for The SIOP® Model for Teaching History-Social Studies for English Learners. John has been a member of the SIOP® National faculty and a guest lecturer for many regional and national bilingual and ESL conferences. He also co-authored and presented The 7 Steps Study: Evaluation Program Effectiveness for Teaching English Learners at the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).
